Hi,
Next week we are releasing new holder for batteries 18650 format. It is mainly addressed for multiple Li-Ion batteries, it is stackable and can support capacities from 3000 mAh up to 21000 mAh (if used 3 stacked devices). However can support also LiFePO4 if single cell 18650 is used. We recommend to use it as a single devices that can hold two (lower costs) Li-Ion batteries from the market. These batteries are used for electronic cigarettes, so wide available. Soon we will also provide such batteries, however with increased quality and capacity of 3350 mAh per cell, so total capacity could be up 6700 mAh per pcb.
[EDIT] : Could be used with 1 battery cell or 2 batteries cells

Hi,
It is just batteries holder for any chemistry of batteries in format of 18650. It replaces the former plastic base (it is similar size) and can hold any chemistry batteries, LF or Li-Ion, it is connected via cable to the battery input of the PIco.
It is mainly addressed to the Li-Ion batteries (as are very low cost and wide available due to electronic cigarettes)
However any other battery can be holded. Need to be used with protected Batteries with PCB (little bit loner than "normal" one. For the Li-Ion the max capacity is 7200 mAh
For this yo mentioned, we must update the charger procedure.
Warmest Regards
