Reading i2c only gets 0xff values!!

Postby Bytechanger » Mon Jun 26, 2017 6:09 pm

Hi,

I´ve got raspbian kernel
Linux biegnerpi 4.9.28-v7+ #998 SMP Mon May 15 16:55:39 BST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux
and I got a new ups pico (from hv 1.1 now hv3.0) because old wasn´t running under kernel 4.9.
I installed all scripts and pico is working right, because light ups is flashing and charging is on...

But when I tried to read values vom i2c with

i2cget -y 1 0x69 0x00 b

I only got 0xff values!!!

Also the fan control-script:

pico_HV3.0_temp_fan_v1.0.py

What´s the fault???

Hi,
The most possible reason is that you have bought PIco with older firmware. Please upload manually the latest one officially release 0x36, with manual invocation. After first time make default values also manually. Then check and inform about results. Until now I have not seen any problems with the latest firmware and kernel. However I'm just updating the kernel to check, and confirm again.
Warmest Regards

Hi,

In forum there is an older topic with firmware 0x38
and a newer with 0x32.

Its confuse.

Hi,
Nein, we are uploading only the official one (that has been tested by you and others). The 0x40 will be officially uploaded as it is near to the final one.
Gruss
