Postby sandrobilbeisi » Thu Jan 04, 2018 3:54 pm

Hello all

I would like to know what is new in the HV3.0B Series

I already have one HV3.0A Stack Plus and would like to know the differences before ordering more ...

the e-shop is using the same id code as the old one ...
http://www.pimodulescart.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=29

so I'm comparing specifications with old .webarchive/mhtml saved pages but I can't get a clear idea of the differences ...

cheers

Hi,
I'm preparing new prospectus, and today or max tomorrow will be updated on the web page for all versions.
Simply saying we corrected all small bugs in hardware indicated during all time, added ON/OFF switch, much better PCB, added 5V 1-wire, charging when RPI is not running (on Plus), added Hi Current Relay option (2A@30V) - just put contacts in parallel, and much more. Totally about 12 changes
Warmest Regards

PiMaster.....I'm looking for the updated User Guide for the HV3.0B series. I have the 3D and Prospectus PDF's but neither seems to be the User Guide. Is there a difference from the one I have for the HV3.0A series?.....RDK

Hi,
Lets first release the updated firmware for both versions which is common. The only big difference that implies the firmware is the ON/OFF switch, and cause different handling in the firmware (however always in the same firmware). All other options are common. So, new features are also new for A, some others are also new but nothing very important.
Maybe the capability to charge the battery while RPi is not running (for Plus) could be also a big difference
Warmest Regards

Hi,
We spent a lot of time to make PCB more robust, better designed, much lower PIco powering current, RPI higher current, better passive cooling (thermal pipes), some extra hardware features that are just a pure hardware (i.e. 5V 1-wire, or high current relay option), firmware is still the same. We also done many changes in order to speed up production and testing, the core bottle neck was the testing procedures. So we adapted the new PCB to much better testing pod (semi automatic) that allows to test much faster and better each PCB. We changed the soldered buttons to newer one, that are much better soldered (with legs) so always exactly on their place and very good soldered.
Warmest Regards
