No firmware read out

Postby rron » Fri Aug 04, 2017 2:28 pm

Hi,
I have a pico ups Hv1.0 on a rpi3 and it is not working. When i do sudo python pico_status.py I get the following

Code: Select all

***********************************
pico status V1.0
 UPS PIco Firmware: ff
  Powering Mode: ERR
  BAT Volatge:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "pico_status.py", line 74, in <module>
    print " ","BAT Volatge:", bat_level(),"V"
  File "pico_status.py", line 31, in bat_level
    return (float(data) / 100)
ValueError: could not convert string to float: ffff

I have tried to load new firmware but no succes. Sudo i2cdetect -y 1 is still ok
Can some help me how to solve this problem?
Thx
rron

Hi, In the new kernel 4.9 there is a new i2c handler, and the old firmware is not compatible with it,
please use below solutions until we will release new firmware
